KTRK drops AccuWeather Channel
Today, ABC-owned KTRK dropped the AccuWeather Channel from 13.3 in favor of a standard-definition simulcast of the LiveWell Network, which already airs on 13.2.
A call to the station confirmed that the AccuWeather Channel is no longer available.
It’s possible that ABC’s deal with AccuWeather to provide the automated channel has ended. Wikipedia (yes, I know) says WABC has dropped the channel as well.

Did you happen to ask what the purpose of the SD simulcast is?
The statement about Accu-weather no longer being available was all the information she had. I’m pretty sure it was a corporate decision; I read on Wikipedia that WLS has dropped it too.
