Telestai, “ethical values” network, now on 34.1

A Mexican channel that promotes family values, Telestai, is now being rebroadcast by KUVM-CD 34.1.

Telestai’s mission statement is “to disseminate the values that have strengthened the ties in society and in families.”

The web site explains farther: “Telestai is a new cable entertainment network which recognizes the need to show quality content. That is why we offer the viewer productions focused on ethical values throughout our programming.”

The station offers music videos overnight as well as talk shows and general entertainment programming. A live stream can also be found on the station’s web site.

From what I have been able to gather, the word telestai is Greek, the plural of telestes, one who is aimed or goal-oriented.
