UH to merge KUHT, KUHF into new Houston Public Media

CultureMap is reporting today that the University of Houston will be merging its radio and TV operations into one organization, to be called Houston Public Media.

The two stations have previously been run separately.

Presumably 91.7 will be integrated into the new structure when the purchase of the station from Rice is completed.

Since KUHT is running Turning Sight into Sound Radio on 8.4, I wonder if there would be enough room to simulcast KUHF and the future KUHC on subchannels of KUHT?
