Tiny Victoria market to get CBS station

In Victoria, Saga Communications holds all the cards. Its two full-power stations are KVCT channel 19 and KAVU channel 25. Channel 19 carries Fox, Telemundo and This TV, while channel 25 carries ABC, NBC (actually a simulcast of analog KMOL-LP, channel 17) and MyNetworkTV (simulcasting analog KXTS-LP channel 41).

Saga has now signed an affiliation agreement with CBS to supplant MyNetwork programming on KXTS 41 and KAVU 25.3 effective Monday, September 12.

Diana Wilkin, president, CBS affiliate relations, said:

As the first CBS station to serve the viewers of Victoria, it’s a welcome opportunity to make CBS a vital part of the community and to continue growing our successful relationship with Saga Communications.

Only the ABC and Fox signals are available in high definition to over-the-air and cable viewers in Victoria.

CBS programming is currently available to cable viewers via KENS-TV from San Antonio.
