Comet touches down on KIAH

Good news for science fiction fans! Comet, a new digital subchannel promising “popular favorites, cult classics, and undiscovered gems”, has premiered on KIAH 39.3.

The 39.3 position has been missing since Universal Sports signed off a few years ago.

Stargate and The Outer Limits feature prominently on the channel’s launch schedule. Check out the web site for a full schedule.

  1. THANK YOU ! ! !

  2. Thanks for the heads up, Joe! My WMC & one tv converter have been picking up “Comet” information (but no transmission) on 57.6 for about a month. Looked it up, was supposed to be one of the KUBE subchannels. Never would have thought to check the KIAH subs. Merry Christmas!

  3. Thanks for the info, however, like Cozi TV, they are using a faulty aspect ratio, whereas on my Sony TV a ‘Normal’ aspect ratio setting would be normal viewing, but Cozi and now Comet need a ‘Full’ aspect ratio setting, messing up the aspect ratios of all the others that are broadcasting in normal standard 4:3 mode, unless I switch back and forth the settings between channels. I just absolutely HATE this crap. FCC needs to crack down on these rogue broadcasters and set a standard, one aspect ratio fits all, one for 4:3 airing and one for 16:9.

  4. After the rescan I noticed there’s a new channel on 2.3, Heros & Icons. They have shows from the 50s thru the 90s like The Rat Patrol, The Saint, The Wild Wild West, 21 Jumpstreet, NYPD Blue, etc.

  5. Wrestling fans will probably be interested to know that ROH airs on Comettv from 11PM-1AM on Wednesdays.

  6. please start playing better shows are go off the air

    • LOL Crappy shows and movies(accept for maybe Outer Limits) and in scrunched format unless you change your aspect ratio settings, JUST FOR THEM. Who do they think they are? LOLOLOL

  7. Demonseed14

I think this page will get more popular once more people cord cut. Thanks for the channel list and thanks for the updates.
